    Job Description:

    JOB SUMMARY

    Hand therapy will deliver specific treatment programs encompassing the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper quarter of the human body.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

     

    **Minimum Required:** Bachelor of Science degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy

    **Preferred/Optional:** None

    EXPERIENCE

    **Minimum Required:** Certification for Hand Therapy requires a minimum of three years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy.

    **Preferred/Optional:** None

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

    _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position:_

     

    **Minimum Required:** Licensed to practice physical or occupational therapy in the State of Wisconsin. Must hold valid Certification in Hand Therapy by passing comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation.

    **Preferred/Optional:** Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
