    WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

    • Responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full electrical estimates on large and complex projects, as required by customer documents. Must have ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Apply NEC/NFPA codes and Parkline standards in order to develop an accurate bill of materials and provide equipment layout drawing that can be priced and installed

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Job Function:

    • Review and evaluate request for electrical estimates on both larger and small projects

    • Obtain project information related to scope of work, time frame needed, and any other pertinent information related to the job

    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, power calculations, and relevant electrical codes.

    • Review critical estimated items against customer specifications, and determine any special requirements for the project

    • Respond to emails and phone calls from customers in a timely manner

    • Review electrical specifications and electrical drawings, capturing information needed to produce an accurate bill of materials

    • Provide equipment layout drawing based off of customer information and electrical estimate

    • Work with Project Managers, Project Engineers to ensure project specifics are met

    • Ensure and maintain safe working conditions for all Employees

    • Write electrical change orders per changes requested by the customer or project manager

    • Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.

    Competencies:

    • Initiative - able to complete Assigned estimates with little management oversight, provide direction and set priorities for electrical estimates

    • Communication- speaks clearly, persuasively and professionally, edits own work and work of others for accuracy

    • Organized- Prioritizes and plans work to ensure efficiency

    • Works well with others and is always ready to support teammates

    • Able to multi task and adapt to frequent changes or unexpected challenges with customer projects

    • Quality – demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality

    • Work with vendors and purchasing team to obtain pricing on special accessories

    • Reliability – strong dedication to work, respond to management direction, and seek feedback for better performance

    • Solid understanding of the NEC/NFPA

    • Ability to read and interpret one-lines, wiring diagrams and schematics

    • Auto CAD (2d) 3D is a plus

    • Problem Solving - identifying, analyzing, and resolving challenges to achieve desired outcomes

    • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

    • Quantity - Meets work standards, Finishes tasks promptly, aims to improve efficiency, works efficiently.
