    Our client, a dynamic player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be part of the procurement department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and exceptional organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Purchasing Specialist

    **Location:** Mount Vernon, IL

    **Pay Range:** $25 - $30 /hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Develop accurate cost estimates and quotes based on project requirements.

    + Manage the purchasing of materials, equipment, and services for projects.

    + Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.

    + Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.

    + Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet project timelines.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

    + Proven experience in estimating, quoting, or purchasing (ideally in a machine shop).

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.

    + Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
