Assists the Surgical and Perioperative Services Departments with data analysis including but not limited to departments’ efficiencies, finance, supply chain and overall established departments’ KPIs. Develops and maintains a deep understanding of issues facing UHealth Surgical Services through analyzing trends, horizon scanning and building relationships with colleagues across the organization. Interacts with all levels of the organization ensuring a positive image is conveyed to internal UHealth and external partners and stakeholders. Promotes the development of objectives and associated metrics to allow a ‘strategic view’ of organizational progress. Collects, interprets, and analyzes relevant data or metrics. Uses various software and applications, to include Excel, PowerPoint, and other strategy related software to gather, extract and interpret high level data. Creates ad-hoc reports as needed by Surgical and Perioperative Services Departments’ Directors and Management. Produces KPI reports monthly and as needed (i.e.: Block Utilization reports). Responsible for the Department tissue management, compliance, and reporting. Responsible for ensuring data integrity through periodic audits. Performs any job-related duties as requested by the Department Leadership.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Degree in Business and/or Informatics preferred
Certification and Licensing:
N/A
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Advanced computer skills
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
+ Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
+ Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
+ Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
+ Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
Department Specific Functions
Develops detailed data reports from Epic, QSight, and/or other systems to aid in Performance Improvement initiatives. Creates daily/weekly/monthly report outs to leadership within Surgical and Perioperative Services. Prepares departmental presentations and reports outs on departments’ KPIs. Manages tissue management process, performs regular audits, and works with staff to validate and maintain compliance. Collects data to measure baseline versus improvement before and after recommendations are implemented. Prepares presentations of projects, including data collected, methodology used, results obtained, recommendations for improvement, and cost and savings involved. Participates in continuing quality improvement activities. Supports the Surgical and Perioperative Services Departments in new initiatives and daily operations. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
