Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas. This role primarily entails managing accounts payable processes, assisting with responses to internal and external queries, and maintaining accurate financial records. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the finance and accounting teams by ensuring timely and precise transactional processing related to purchasing and financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage communication within the AP team and with external parties

• Identify invoices with self-assessed sales tax

• Ensure the accuracy of vendor invoices entered into the accounting system

• Handle the processing of consolidated billings on a monthly basis using system templates

• Execute 3-way matches for invoices related to Purchase Orders

• Process rent invoices every month

• Assist with audit requests as and when required

• Participate and coordinate in special projects or initiatives in line with the accounting department

• Issue replacement payments when necessary

• Investigate price discrepancies and liaise with the procurement team to find solutions

• Assign correct general ledger segments to non-PO invoices

• Execute weekly ACH and check payment runs

• Contribute to the improvement of department processes through ongoing communication with the AP, finance, and accounting teams

• Assist with the review process for 1099, and various accounting projects

• Ensure that policies, procedures, and documentation are up-to-date and accurate

• Standardize procedures for efficiency within a growing environment. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.

• Familiarity with Check Runs is necessary.

• Experience in Coding Invoices is a must.

• Strong Data Entry skills are crucial.

• Proficiency in Invoice Processing is required.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must.

• Experience with Oracle is necessary.
