    This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of the department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and as necessary. This role will be based in our Mid-Atlantic region with work in the Washington DC area.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

     

    + Assisting Account Managers with Project Estimating, scope development and fundamental design for turnkey projects. Development of Sub-Contractor scope of work documentation.

    + Manage the development of Hardware and Software Design Submittals, Installation drawings, Sequence of Operations and Commissioning and/or Validation Documentation.

    + Manage and schedule project Software development, installation and commissioning.

    + Manage and schedule field technician’s startup and commissioning efforts.

    + Maintain up to date As-Built documentation throughout project lifecycle. Coordinate final Turnover Package to the Owner to include Design documentation, System Backup, Recover and General Use Training, Warranty and Service Department turnover.

    + Responsible for all Project Related and Customer Required Documentation, to include at a minimum; Submittals, RFI’s, Schedule, Safety Compliance, Commissioning and/or Validation

    + Oversee the performance of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and to specification.

    + Oversee/Manage project closeout to completion.

    + Managing contracts and sub-contracts.

    + Responsibility for Monthly Invoicing and Project Forecasting.

    + Track, identify and control construction costs against budget to avoid cost overruns.

    + Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of project financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.

    + Support a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives.

    + Drive employee engagement, training, and development in the key areas of safety, quality, and productivity.

    + Provide direct oversight for the field team, including supervisors and technicians.

    + Develop and manage the department budget.

    + Ensure regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies.

    + Ensure that all quality and safety standards, specifications and policies are met, drive continuous improvements, and collaborate with the team to drive efficiency.

    + Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.

    + Drive a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety as well as other aspects of the business.

    + Reports to work on time and ready to perform assigned tasks Mon-Friday 8:00am -5:00pm.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma or GED equivalent a minimum requirement) will be considered. Or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.

    + Required 5 years journeyman level experience and certification in one or more of the building trades; in general construction (carpentry), plumbing, wiring, HVAC, etc.

    + 3-5 relevant work experience in the field or related area that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job.

    + Minimum of 5 years Construction Project Management.

    + Must be able to obtain government security clearance

    + Hardware and Software Design for BMS and/or Process Controls.

    + ACAD or Visio Drafting Skills.

    + Software configuration and programming for BMS and SCADA PLC systems.

    + HVAC and Mechanical System Checkout, Startup and System Commissioning.

    + Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring others.

    + Prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.

    + Familiarity with the Alerton and Niagara hardware product line and network architecture is required.

    + Commitment to our “open door” policy and regular contact with all field employees.

    + Demonstrated ability to coach managers and supervisors to use company practices for maximum effectiveness.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.

    + Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requires strong multi-tasking abilities.

    + Key leadership competencies in addition to high ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams, and action orientation are fundamental imperatives.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to manage and direct a group of workers; ability to supervise, counsel and mediate; ability to persuade, convince, influence and train others; ability to advise and interpret on the application of policies, procedures, and standards to specific situations; ability to explain, demonstrate and clarify to others within well-established policies, procedures, and standards

     

    Pay rate $57/hr-$68/hr DOE.
