    The Division of Stroke (Vascular) in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a board-eligible or board-certified vascular neurologist to join the Department as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor in the **Clinician Educator Line** .

     

    The major criterion for appointment in the **Clinician Educator Line** is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

     

    Responsibilities include providing leadership for the Stanford Stroke Clinic and attending four half-days of stroke clinic per week at Stanford (Palo Alto) on Monday and Friday, and 1-2 stroke clinics/week at Tri-Valley. Inpatient duties will be approximately twelve weeks of inpatient vascular neurology/neurohospitalist service at Tri-Valley and taking home call those weeks on nights/weekends. Acute strokes will be handled separately by our Telestroke service. Clinics will be cancelled during the on-service weeks. This position also includes teaching of Stanford medical students, residents and fellows. Time is provided for research and/or other academic pursuits.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The successful applicant should have an MD (or equivalent), be board-eligible or board-certified in vascular neurology, and have completed an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency and Vascular Neurology fellowship.

    The expected base pay range for this position is:

    Clinical Assistant Professor: $245,000 - 263,000

     

    Clinical Associate Professor: $284,000 - 302,000

     

    This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
