    Job Summary

    The Quest Academic Learning Community is looking for Quest Interns to support the program for the 2025-2024 academic year. The Quest program offers first-time students small-sized academic seminars that meet general education and baccalaureate requirements and offers social and academic events, community service projects, and on-campus study spaces.

     

    Quest Interns will be assigned to a specific area to plan and manage Quest events, handle Quest communications (advertising events, newsletter, etc.), run Quest social media accounts, or analyze program data. They will collaborate with partners in Undergraduate Studies.

     

    Quest Interns will work from August 2025 to May 2026 with academic breaks off. The position is open to all students.

    Responsibilities

    Breakdown of weekly hours:

    3 hours hosting/peer mentoring

    2 hours meeting with Undergraduate Studies partners and Quest Interns

    5 hours work supporting Quest in assigned internship areas

    The three internship areas include the following:

    Social Media and Communications

     

    Event Planning and Management

     

    Data Analyst

    Responsibilities may include:

    Plan, organize, and execute Quest program events, including social, service, and academic events

     

    Design and implement Quest strategic social media calendar

     

    Create media to promote Quest initiatives and engage the Quest community

     

    Assist in various aspects of data analysis for Quest

     

    Support students, faculty, and partners within the Quest program

     

    The duties listed are intended to provide examples and are not exhaustive.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Current University of Utah student

     

    Proven ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively

     

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

     

    Ability to work successfully under pressure

     

    Being thorough and accurate in completing tasks

     

    Preferences

     

    Previous experience in your desired internship area.
