    JOB SUMMARY

    The **Graduate Enrollment and Student Success Specialist** is responsible for supporting graduate or online degree students throughout the student life cycle, including recruitment, enrollment, academic advising, student support, and retention. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless, engaging, and supportive student experience by working collaboratively with prospective and current students, faculty, and university staff. The role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills to meet enrollment and retention goals effectively.

    _ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES_

    Recruitment and Enrollment

     

    Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective graduate or online degree students, providing information on program options, admission requirements, and the application process.

     

    + Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, campus visits, and virtual information sessions.

    + Represent the university at recruitment events, including graduate fairs, employer partnerships, and community engagements.

    + Review and evaluate graduate applications, transcripts, recommendation letters, and other credentials for admission decisions.

    + Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with institutional enrollment goals.

    + Partner with the **Admissions Operations team** to ensure accurate and efficient data management within **Slate CRM** , including tracking prospective student interactions, application statuses, and enrollment trends

    Academic Advising and Student Support

    + Provide proactive, holistic advising to enrolled graduate and online degree students, assisting with course selection, degree planning, and university navigation.

    + Serve as a liaison between students and faculty to address concerns related to academic success and program engagement.

    + Interpret and communicate university policies related to academic standing, course substitutions, and degree progression.

    + Facilitate orientation and onboarding programs for new graduate students.

    + Connect students to university resources, including career services, financial aid, and student support programs.

    Retention and Student Engagement

    + Monitor student progress and identify at-risk students, implementing early intervention and support strategies.

    + Develop and coordinate student success initiatives, including mentoring programs, professional development workshops, and community-building activities.

    + Partner with faculty and academic departments to enhance student engagement and satisfaction.

    + Track and assess student feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.

    Data Management, Reporting, & Process Improvement

    + Monitor key enrollment and retention metrics, using data analytics to inform decision-making.

    + Maintain accurate student records in CRM and student information systems.

    + Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance student recruitment, retention, and overall experience.

    Other Duties:

    + Perform additional work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    This position reports to the Director of Graduate Enrollment and Student Success or their designee.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KEY COMPETENCIES

    + Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with prospective students, effectively advise current students, and foster strong relationships with faculty.

    + Ability to analyze student data and identify areas of concern to provide targeted support.

    + Proficiency in student information systems (e.g. Workday) and CRM systems (e.g. Slate)

    MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    + **Master’s degree** in higher education administration, counseling, business, or a related field, or **equivalent experience** .

    + Minimum of **two years of experience** in graduate enrollment, student services, academic advising, or related areas.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    + Experience in **both graduate admissions and student advising** **.**

    + Familiarity with **student retention strategies** and engagement initiatives.

    + Knowledge of **financial aid, student billing, and career services** related to graduate students.

    WORKING CONDITIONS / EQUIPMENT

    Must be able to perform the following essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

    + Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

    + Occasional **evening and weekend work** is required to support recruitment events and student advising.

    + Travel for recruitment and outreach activities may be required.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    + This is a full time, 1.0 FTE, exempt position, 12 months a year

    Compensation and Benefits:

    **Pay Range:** $47,500 - $55,000 annually
