    Job Summary

    TYLin is seeking a CAD Technician to join our team in Washington DC. This position is an opportunity for a qualified CAD technician who is seeking to grow into the complex world of BIM modeling/coordination and detailing. The CAD technician will support project teams within the water/wastewater sector.

     

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

     

    The CAD technician will be responsible for collaborating with various engineering disciplines to layout and design in the areas of process mechanical, civil site development, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and instrumentation and control for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and pipelines. The CAD technician will coordinate CAD/BIM efforts for complex design projects from small to large scale.

     

    + Will use basic computer drafting software to generate report figures and construction drawings.

    + Learn new software design programs.

    + Become familiar with and follow the firm's practices, procedures, and standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

    + 2-5 years of experience with CAD design

    + An Associates or Bachelor's degree in CAD/BIM engineering preferred or related discipline.

    + Basic working knowledge with CAD/BIM Software.

    + Experience in the following is considered an asset; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ACC, ProjectWise, and/or Bentley MicroStation.

    + Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere
