    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Project Structural Engineer with Buildings experience to join our growing team in Austin. This position sits within AEC, a TYLin Company (https://aecollab.com/about)

     

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Work on buildings projects of various types (including, but not limited to: commercial, institutional, residential)

    + Travel to project site and meetings as needed.

    + Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

    + Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

    + Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

    + Prepares technical specification sections.

    + Signs off and approves their own work.

    + Coordinates with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.

    + Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

    + May conduct peer reviews and make technical presentations.

    + Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise.

    QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

    + P.E license or eligibility to register, is required.

    + Experience in the execution of commercial, institutional, residential projects as a Structural Project Engineer preferred.

    + Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

    + High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

    + Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
