Summary:
Meta is seeking a Critical Operations Manager to join our Data Center Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Critical Operations Manager (COM) is responsible for the safe and effective operations, maintenance, and modernization of ~70 MW data center capacity across one or more buildings. This person must be familiar with equipment utilized in critical environments, maintain a focus on continuous improvement, and enjoy managing a team.

Critical Operations Manager Responsibilities:
1. Lead the execution of both the tactical and strategic direction of a critical operations team to safely and effectively operate, maintain, and modernize physical infrastructure.
2. Manage a team of Lead Building Engineers and Critical Facility Engineers through hiring, mentoring, coaching and intentional performance management to maintain a safe and effective operations environment.
3. Review and serve as the final approval authority for procedures based on internal standards.
4. Conduct Post-Incident and Root Cause Analysis reviews. Incorporate lessons learned into the day-to-day operations of the campus. Communicate significant lessons learned to relevant internal and external teams.
5. Oversee the Personal Qualification Standard (PQS) for lead building engineers and critical facility engineers.
6. Ensure critical facility engineers maintain proper training and qualification to stand shift and conduct operations and maintenance activities.
7. Collaborate with peer COMs to ensure consistency in the strategy and approach to delivery of critical operations.
8. Maintain partnerships with technical and support teams, along with cross-functional partners responsible for server hardware and network capacity to achieve maximum uptime.
9. Support the environmental, health and safety (EHS) program as well as technical training programs to ensure adherence to Meta Safety Policies and Procedures.
10. Routinely inspect buildings, grounds, and critical equipment and provide observation and assessment of operations in the data center.
11. In collaboration with peer COMs and Lead Building Engineers, review risk mitigation efforts across the campus and resolve or escalate any concerns with conflicting redundancy impacts.
12. Responsible for compliance and adherence with work management processes and workflows, including the accuracy of work orders in the Enterprise Assset Management System (EAM), and Standards.
13. Develop and maintain a comprehensive incident response program of emergency operating procedures for the Critical Operations Team.
14. Support construction project execution (new & retrofit) in the data center, which could include serving as the operations point-of-contact for construction projects and ensuring adherence to construction processes while supporting the critical operations environment.

17. 8+ years experience in critical facilities operations
18. 3+ years experience in team management
19. Proficient with maintenance management programs
20. Regularly walk job site areas of flat and uneven terrain
21. Work at varying heights and from ladders
22. Lift and/or otherwise move 45 pounds or more regularly
23. Use hands and fingers
24. Reach/push/pull with hands/arms/shoulders
25. Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

28. Associates degree, technical trade certification or state licensure in electrical, mechanical and/or controls
Public Compensation:
$133,000/year to $190,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
