_What Data Science contributes to Cardinal Health_

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

Data Science applies base, scientific methodologies from various disciplines, techniques and tools that extracts knowledge and insight from data to solve complex business problems on large data sets, integrating multiple systems.

This role specially supports data science efforts in Pharma Supply Chain (PSS) Transportation, DC Operations, and Inventory Management area. This role will focus on leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve complex challenges related to demand forecasting, inventory optimization, logistics efficiency and risk mitigation. Our goal is to uncover insights and drive meaningful deliverables to improve decision making and business outcomes.

_Qualifications_

+ 8-12 years of experience, preferred

+ Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related field

+ Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL

+ Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI and experience translating analytics into business insights

+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex finding to non-technical stakeholders

+ Experience with supply chain analytics is preferred

_Acountabilities_

+ Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects

+ Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals

+ Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models

+ Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope

+ Projects may have significant and long-term impact

+ Provides solutions which may set precedent

+ Independently determines method for completion of new projects

+ Receives guidance on overall project objectives

+ Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

**Anticipated salary range:** $121,600 - $173,700
