    BJC is hiring a Manager - Project Manager in our Clinical Engineer department. The role will be leading Project Managers who work on installation of equipment across BJC.

     

    Ideal candidate will have a biomedical and project management background.

     

    Must live in the greater St. Louis area.

    In Clinical Engineering our mission is to provide a team of empowered professionals providing continued improvement in patient care and equipment planning & support technologies. BJC Healthcares' Clinical Engineering (Clinical Asset Management) team provides operational support and maintenance management of diagnostic, treatment, and patient support technologies. Specific service areas include, Medical equipment planned maintenance services, Medical equipment demand and corrective maintenance services, Operational support for functions employing medical technology, Support of Risk Management and EH&S functions, Technology asset management support, acquisition and disposal, Technology maintenance contract management, Technology capital project planning and management.

    Role Purpose

     

    Provides the necessary supervision, direction, coordination and management control projects in a manner that is consistent with and meets the demands of the strategic needs of the BJC.

    Responsibilities

    + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

    + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

    + Provides leadership to the project team in the interpretation, development and implementation of an assigned project.

    + Promotes effective communication through good working relationships with project sponsors, contractors, other professionals and entity facility staff.

    + Develops the appropriate project budget and coordinates the capital appropriation request process.

    + Accountable for the project schedule and monitoring of progress.

    + Implements the departmental guidelines for project execution including contracts, partner requirements and customer service.
