    Pay Range:

    $16.80 - $23.10

     

    **Pay Rate:** $18/hour

     

    All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time.

    Position Summary:

    As an intern on the Simple Plex Assay Development Team, you will contribute to the optimization of high-quality biomarker assays on the Ella platform. This hands-on experience will provide valuable exposure to immunoassay development and design for key analytes, data analysis and reporting, and laboratory best practices. Working closely with our development team, you will design and execute stability studies and correlation experiments while documenting and presenting key findings. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in biotechnology, bioengineering, or a related field to gain practical experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Follow department-specific SOPs

    + Work with a team to design experiments and draw conclusions from results

    + Set up and perform experiments with guidance

    + Perform data reduction

    + Keep accurate notebooks and records of experiments, write reports

    + Present results

    + Performs additional duties as assigned

    + Follows company policies and practices and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance to the job

    **Program Requirements** :

    + Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship

    + Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college

    + Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program

    Experience Qualifications:

    + Pursuing a degree in Biotechnology or related field

    + Knowledge of PC and software, including Excel and various statistical programs

    + Skills in problem solving and critical thinking

    + Detail-oriented and proficient in planning, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills

    + Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written

    + Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high level accuracy

    + Ability to work hours that conform to standard business operations (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.)
