    Overview

    THE ROLE:

    We are seeking a Director of Social Impact to lead and manage Herbalife’s philanthropic and CSR initiatives. This role will lead all aspects of Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) programs (70%), including strategy, fundraising, grant-making, partnerships, and program development. Additionally, the role will support Herbalife’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives (30%), aligning business objectives with community engagement and social impact programs.

     

    This role will report to the VP of Global Corporate Communications & Social Impact and works closely with internal and external collaborators to strengthen Herbalife's impact.

    HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

    • Herbalife Family Foundation (70%)

    o Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HFF’s long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with Herbalife’s mission and values.

    o Program Oversight: Lead HFF’s Casa Herbalife Nutrition program and other initiatives, optimizing impact and resource allocation.

    o Grant Management: Lead all aspects of the grant-making process, including application reviews, fund disbursement, and impact measurement.

    o Crisis Response: Develop and lead initiatives to support communities impacted by natural disasters in conjunction with nonprofit partners (i.e. American Red Cross).

    o Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with nonprofit partners, donors, and corporate sponsors to expand HFF’s reach.

    o Fundraising & Development: Drive fundraising efforts, including corporate contributions, employee giving campaigns, and distributor engagement. Plan and implement HFF’s annual gala and giving campaigns, the biggest fundraiser of the year, during the company’s annual Honors event.

    o Impact Measurement & Reporting: Define key performance metrics and produce annual reports demonstrating the foundation’s impact.

    o Board & Governance: Serve as the primary liaison to the HFF Board of Directors, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.

    • Corporate Social Responsibility (30%)

    o CSR Strategy & Execution: Support Herbalife’s global CSR strategy, focusing on nutrition, sustainability, and community well-being.

    o Employee Engagement: Develop and implement volunteer programs that engage Herbalife employees and distributors in social impact initiatives.

    o Corporate Reputation: Support internal and external communications to improve the company’s reputation with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to, shareholders, employees, distributors and the public.

    Corporate Communications is a small, hands-on team of experts in specific fields of communications who work cross-functionally to raise the profile of the company. The team is highly collaborative, passionate about results, and supporting of each other, especially when a situation requires all hands on deck. The team also enjoys collaborating with colleagues worldwide to share standard methodologies, offer support, and ensure alignment of messaging and priorities.

    Qualifications

    SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    • 10+ years of experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit management, CSR, or a related field.

    • Proven leadership experience in managing foundations, grant-making, and nonprofit partnerships.

    • Solid understanding of public foundation and social impact best practices.

    • Outstanding strategic planning, project management, and collaborator engagement skills.

    • Experience in fundraising, budgeting, and impact measurement.

    • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

    • Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationship-building abilities.

    • Experience in the nutrition, health, or wellness industry.

    • Multilingual skills and experience working in global markets.

    • Passion for nutrition, wellness, and community empowerment

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Share supervisory duties, if applicable)

    • Supervise a small team of direct reports, assigning and prioritizing the team’s work

    • Motivate and mentor team to ensure high-performance and timely delivery of quality work product

    • Evaluate performance and set goals for team and individuals

    • Prioritize overall health and wellness of team

    • Address issues and potential conflicts in timely manner

    • Ensure team is aware of and abides by company policies, procedures and ethical practices

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
