    Overview

     

    At St. Luke’s, our dedicated team of Athletic Trainers are critical in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. We strive to foster an environment that embraces our employees' unique strengths, experiences and perspectives which ultimately drives our exceptional, patient-centered care.

    What You Can Expect:

    + Athletic Trainer Outreach manages the care of athletes in community outreach settings.

    + Oversees the training room, supervising assistant trainers, and planning and scheduling medical coverage at sporting events.

    + Evaluates and manages head injuries and concussions and develops appropriate return to play guidelines in collaboration with system entities.

    + Maintain daily records of treatment logs, injury reports, and doctor's referrals using the St Luke's Athletic Training Program (ATP) electronic medical record. Maintain medical inventory used for the care of athletes.

    + Ensures an Emergency Action Plan be put in place and discussed with the school's Athletic Director, coaches, and athletes.

    + Travels to local community, sports, school, etc. events.

    Qualifications:

    + Education: Bachelor degree

    + Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer the state of practice. Board of Certification (BOC) certified. Current CPR/first responder certification and/or CPR for the healthcare provider. Valid Drivers License and Insurance.
