A Brief Overview

Performs scrub duties and assists surgeons with procedures.

What you will do

+ Assists surgeons by handing required instruments during procedures without difficulty.

+ Documents controls accurately and correctly from Steris DX and flash sterilization.

+ Performs all suture and instrument counts without error.

+ Stores products appropriately.

+ Checks for outdated supplies, noting before opening on the back table.

+ Selects product(s) for procedures.

+ Orients new staff as assigned.

+ Maintains turnover time within acceptable limits.

+ Maintains awareness of safety hazards and use of equipment to prevent damage or harm to personnel or patients.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

+ High School or GED Equivalent

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

+ Less than 1 year previous healthcare experience
