    The Inpatient Coding Manager is responsible for:

    + The over-sight and management for a multi-facility coding team.

    + Have experience in correlating coding accuracy and documentation appropriateness to resolve coding issues and to present information on going (i.e., case mix, DRG analysis, physician and nursing education, coding seminars).

    + Performs annual evaluations for the Coding Supervisors and Coding Coordinators.

    + Responsible to establish the BayCare Coding capital and operations budgets.

    + Responsible to meet or beat budgets.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education requirements:

    + Required - High School or Equivalent; Preferred - Associates - Related Field

    Credential equivalent experience:

    + Required - CCS (Coding); Required - Driver's License - State of Florida; Preferred - RHIT (Health Information)

    Experience requirements:

    + Required - 5 years of Management experience

    + The position requires excellent critical thinking skills, excellent presentation skills, and knowledge of MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, SOI/ROM, Official Coding Guidelines, Coding Clinics, and a broad-based and thorough understanding of ICD-10 CM and ICD-10-PCS correct coding.

    + The position requires a high degree of collaboration with clinicians, health care providers, Revenue Cycle and Clinical Documentation Integrity Departments.

    **Shift Hours:** 8:00am - 4:30pm
