Title: Front Desk Attendant

Program: Renewal House

Salary: $18.92 per hour

Program Description

Renewal House is a 25-unit residential program for people who have completed a substance use treatment program and are seeking employment. All participants must be approved by HRA for Category F Housing. Renewal House is located at 491 Fletcher Place in the Bronx.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties of the Front Desk Attendant include but are not limited to the following activities:

+ Desk Clerks are responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe and secure environment, maintaining a clear and unobstructed building lobby.

+ Makes safety patrols throughout the facility and documents same.

+ Monitors CCTV system and security cameras.

+ Observes tenant(s) and visitor(s) behavior reporting any unusual behavior to the appropriate personnel.

+ Greet visitors and guests, announces/directs/escorts them to the appropriate location. Maintains visitor/guest log.

+ Maintains accurate log entries and writes Incident Reports when necessary.

+ Ability to use a multi-line telephone and intercom system.

+ Acts as Fire Guard.

+ Provides crisis intervention in emergency and contacts appropriate personnel.

+ Must be available to work a Sunday- Thursday or Tuesday- Saturday schedule (hours vary).

+ Any other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or senior staff.

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma/GED and experience working with homeless and substance abuse population

+ Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred
