Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Workday Program Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role primarily involves managing the implementation of ERP software, specifically Workday, and ensuring that it aligns with the broader organizational strategies and goals. As part of this role, you will be required to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results on time.
Responsibilities: • Establishing an ERP PMO (Program Management Office) and implementing governance structures to oversee program activities. • Ensuring that the implementation of Workday and other associated projects aligns with the organization's broader strategies and goals. • Providing strategic insights and recommendations on program progress and necessary adaptations. • Defining program objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders. • Supervising ERP-related project tasks, including configuration, integration, and data migration activities. • Developing detailed project plans covering schedules, resource allocations, and budget estimates. • Identifying potential risks early on and implementing proactive mitigation strategies. • Addressing and resolving project issues promptly and escalating critical concerns if necessary. • Leading status meetings to keep all parties aligned and informed. • Managing daily operations of ERP software implementations, ensuring vendor commitments, project milestones, and deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines. • Developing and executing a change management strategy to facilitate smooth user adoption. • Designing training programs to support end-user proficiency and readiness. • Documenting lessons learned and sharing best practices for future improvement. • Creating a transition plan to shift from project mode to operational support. • Monitoring and optimizing system performance over time.
The ideal pay range is $70-80/hour W2, depending on qualifications, although they may flex for a perfect resource. Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related Program Manager role. • Proficiency in Workday ERP is required- 2+ years of Workday implementation experience required. • Demonstrated expertise in Vendor Management is necessary.
