Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for evaluating product, customer, and process requirements to plan, design, or modify new or existing manufacturing equipment. In addition, this role will establish operating equipment specifications, improve manufacturing techniques and production yields, and introduce new process equipment to improve production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Assist in planning and designing manufacturing processes and equipment in an industrial plant.
+ Collect, analyze, and evaluate manufacturing data to drive continuous process improvements.
+ Respond to manufacturing issues and concerns to ensure product specifications are met, including troubleshooting and rectification of any existing errors or defects.
+ Support root cause investigations for the manufacturing area and ensure completion of corrective actions.
+ Create process documentation and may conduct operator training.
+ Create and maintain company documentation, such as process travelers, manufacturing work instructions, and machine setup documents.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing engineering technology
+ 0 – 3 years’ experience
Competency
+ Experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
+ Proficiency with 3D CAD software including drawing creation (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
+ Knowledge and experience with software programming preferred (MATLAB, C++, Python)
+ Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
