• Intermediate Field Service Technician

    Amentum (Mcguire AFB, NJ)


    Amentum is now hiring for an Intermediate Field Service Technician in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Install and repair electrical or electronic equipment, such as computers, robot controllers, end of arm tools, conveyors, and parts, and perform on-site post-installation repair, calibration, and maintenance as scheduled or required, applying knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming.

    + Check work orders and related manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine tasks to be performed and tools, equipment, and parts needed for installation of repair assignment.

    + Discuss assignment with customer's representative and inspect installation site to verify that electrical supply wires, conduit, switches, and circuit breakers are installed according to specifications.

    + Test electrical components, such as wiring, switches, and relays, using testing instruments, and replace faulty components, using hand tools.

    + Conduct routine preventative maintenance according to established guidelines and schedules.

    + Locate and replace faulty printed circuit boards.

    + May train customer's staff in operation of equipment.

    + May repair faulty printed circuit boards.

    + May be on-call and perform emergency repairs during off-business hours.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Must have a High School diploma.

    + Minimum of 3 years’ experience.

    + Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET or TOP SECRET Clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience supporting C5ISR DEVCOM programs.
