SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Telehealth Program Assistant Shift Leader will serve the health system with virtual care needs and assist the department supervisor in the smooth daily operation of the Tele-observation Department by assisting with direction and acting as content and technology experts across all shifts. Shift leads will engage with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure virtual patient safety and observation needs are met and effective.
Must be computer proficient and customer service driven. Requires on site work at Virtual Care office
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES** : The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
+ Assist weekend on call management team with weekend supervision and coverage.
+ Assume role as point of contact for evening and night shift rotations in the department.
+ Assist the supervisor and on-call management with covering call offs and staffing needs.
+ Assist the department management with training and orientation of new hires as well as continuing education and development of the department staff.
+ Assist management and building operations with mitigating emergencies and downtime in a professional and timely manner.
+ Assist staff with patient safety reporting and be responsible for representing the department in weekend and holiday safety briefs.
+ Will perform all duties as a telehealth program assistant when lead duties are completed or not needed during a shift.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
+ High School diploma or equivalent education
+ Minimum one (1) year experience of patient care or medical office experience
+ Minimum one (1) year experience of leadership or supervisory experience
