• Maintenance Mechanic II

    Brighton Central Schools (Brighton, NY)


    40 hours per week (7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday)

    Responsibilities include:

    -Filter changes/complete work order assignments

     

    -Maintain heating and cooling systems

     

    -Cooling towers/pumps

     

    -Heat pump repairs

     

    -Plumbing repairs

     

    -Preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment

    Job Qualifications

    Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus one (1) year of experience as a skilled worker in one or more of the electrical, mechanical, or construction trades. NOTE : Additional experience may be substituted for the high school diploma on a year-for-year basis.

    Desired qualifications:

    -Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems

     

    -Ability to lift heavy objects at time

     

    -Ability to read schematics

     

    -Universal refrigeration license a plus, but not a necessity

     

    -Ability to use a meter and HVAC tools

     

    -Ability to work independently and as a team
