**Location:** Houston, TX (near Jersey Village)

**Job Type:** Full-Time, Consultant (12 months)

**Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible after training)

**Pay Rate:** $20/hour

About the Role:

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a **detail-oriented Process Gas Chromatograph Column Assembler** to support **Analytical Methods Development** within the **Analytical Products and Integration (API) business unit** . This role involves manufacturing **packed and micropacked gas chromatograph (GC) columns** used for **chemical composition analysis** .

As a key team member, you will **assemble, test, and ensure the quality of GC columns** , contributing to **innovative gas chromatographic techniques** . The ideal candidate is comfortable with **repetitive manufacturing tasks, laboratory safety protocols, and working with chemicals** .

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manufacture **GC columns** by filling, coiling, and testing tubing with chromatographic packing materials.

+ **Handle chemical solvents** to coat filling materials with specialized chemical coatings.

+ Track and prioritize **internal and external orders** to meet customer delivery deadlines.

+ Maintain compliance with **laboratory safety procedures** .

+ Assist **chemists and manufacturing staff** in troubleshooting quality issues.

+ Organize and maintain an **inventory of tubing, fittings, solvents, and packing materials** .

+ Support **Lean manufacturing practices, including 6S, to improve efficiency** .

+ Maintain a **clean and organized workspace** .

Required & Preferred Qualifications:

Required:

+ Ability to perform **repetitive manufacturing tasks** with precision.

+ Basic **math skills** for chemical coating calculations.

+ Comfort handling **chemical solvents** and working in a **manufacturing/laboratory environment** .

+ Strong **attention to detail** and ability to follow **quality control procedures** .

Preferred:

+ Experience in **laboratory safety** and chemical handling.

+ Background in **manufacturing, chemical processing, or analytical methods** .

**Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
