    We have an exciting opportunity for a Dust Monitor Project Manager to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.

    The Dust Monitor Project Manager will:

    + Perform project management for an HLS dust monitor feasibility assessment

    + Manage the overall efforts related to systems engineering, project engineering, test engineering and logistics engineering

    + Manage the project team and their activities

    + Provide budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating support

    + Monitor cost performance for the project against the established plan

    + Develop and maintain financial reports

    + Develop and manage project schedule

    + Oversee the development of procedures, work instructions and process flows

    + Manage project risks and opportunities and ensure that a structured risk and opportunity process is followed

    + Assess how program level changes impact project requirements and execution

    + Interface frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA personnel, and vendors

    + Work with the lead systems engineer to meet technical and performance goals

    + Perform other duties as required ​

    Requisition Qualifications:

    + Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.

    + Experience managing and leading engineering projects

    + Experience with financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels

    + Ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines

    + Ability to work independently and autonomously and track tasks and issues to completion

    + Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software​

    Requisition Preferences:

    + ​BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct engineering experience

    + Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures

    + Prior experience working in a system development project/program
