The Opportunity

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents

Our location in **Westford, MA** , currently has an opportunity for a **Buyer/Planner II** .

What You’ll Work On

+ Conduct research on potential suppliers and vendors, promotions, and other industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities.

+ Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchase and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics.

+ Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied.

+ Follow-up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery.

+ Communicate status of orders with internal customers.

+ Activities include sourcing, evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors, negotiating supply contracts, and monitoring the quality and timeliness of materials and services supplied.

Required Qualifications

+ High School Diploma / GED

+ Minimum 1 year experience as a buyer/planner

Preferred Qualifications

+ 2 years working in a highly regulated environment preferred preferably from a medical device manufacturing environmen **t**

+ 2 years working withpurchasing

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
