Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Windsor, Connecticut. As part of the administrative team in the manufacturing industry, the Billing Clerk will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate preparation, processing, and maintenance of billing activities. Ideal candidates possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Billing Management: Accurately prepare, review, and process invoices for customers in accordance with company policies.
+ Recordkeeping: Maintain and update billing records, including payment histories, invoice adjustments, and discrepancies.
+ Customer Communication: Respond to billing inquiries from customers via phone and email, addressing questions or resolving issues promptly.
+ Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, including incorrect amounts or missing payments, in coordination with the Accounts Receivable team.
+ Data Entry: Input and validate billing information into company systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Reporting Support: Run billing-related reports for management, highlighting trends or discrepancies as needed.
+ Compliance: Ensure all billing procedures comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, accounts receivable, operations) to ensure consistency in billing operations.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills Required:
+ Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred but not required.
+ Experience:
+ Prior experience in billing, invoicing, or related clerical roles (1–2 years preferred).
+ Knowledge of manufacturing industry operations is a plus.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Familiarity with billing software or ERPs (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
+ Attention to Detail:
+ Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
+ Communication Skills:
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional customer interactions.
+ Problem-Solving Ability: Proven ability to identify billing issues and collaborate with relevant parties to achieve resolution.
+ Time Management:
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
