Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Houston site is looking for a new National Sea Logistics Route Development Expert to join our Sea Logistics team.
Your Role
In this high profile and customer-facing Sea Logistics position, the individual
will be responsible for developing new opportunities for inbound and outbound business pertaining to the
Euro Med IN/OUT (Italy, Spain, France) US business and successfully implementing the sales strategy in
conjunction with the wider sales team and executive management.
Your Responsibilities
+ Responsible for managing customer accounts, relationships and agreements
+ Leverage the expertise on designated territory to create solutions that will optimize customer’sneeds and supply chain
+ Be the trade and subject matter expert on designated territory
+ Develop and implement to success a sales plan for designated territory.
+ Communicates, presents and conducts regular business reviews with customers at a senior levelto assess overall level of satisfaction
+ Ensures close collaboration with the trade team/captain to deliver target growth and market shareon respective tradelane
+ Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
+ Build an internal network with overseas counterparts to assess pipeline and target accounts
+ To develop pricing strategies (liaise on pricing / RFQ preparation) in tandem with TradeManagement and ensure Quotation Qualification
+ Manage & provide customer with timely operational assistance (i.e. routings, escalations, quotes& communication)
+ Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity inthe market place and provides reports, on a regular basis
+ Must be willing to travel as necessary
+ Regular maintenance and proactive updating of sales activities within the Client RelationshipManagement system
+ Use all resources at your disposal to ensure success and appropriate customer service whilecomplying with all regulatory requirements
Your Skills and Experiences
+ 5+ years of industry experience
+ 5+ years' experience in a field sales environment
+ Experience with RFPs, creating sales planes, and developing customer solutions
+ Knowledge of specific country / territory preferred
+ Spanish, Italian or French Language Fluency and English.
