The Investment Banking Associate is an intermediate level position and supports Financial Institutions Group (FIG)’s investment banking initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory services across multitude of subsectors including Asset Management, Banks, Digital Assets, and Mortgage, and Specialty Finance. The senior associate role plays a critical part in executing transactions, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist in the execution of Citi’s Investment Banking business activities, including preparing client presentations, creating financial models, and performing valuation analyses and due diligence

+ Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities

+ Manage and mentor analysts, providing guidance on financial analysis and deal structuring

+ Collaborate with senior bankers in business development efforts and client engagement

+ Contribute to building Citi’s franchise

Qualifications:

+ 3-5 years of relevant experience

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration Master's degree in Business Administration

+ Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures

+ Experience creating financial analyses

+ Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

+ Experience assisting with client development

+ Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry trends)

+ Series 79 and 63 licenses

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
