WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an LMR Engineer at MCA, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier communication solutions. Your key responsibilities include:
+ Conducting site and path surveys, analyzing results for optimal system performance.
+ Assisting in FCC coordination and licensing processing.
+ Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and schematics.
+ Finalizing system designs and bill of materials.
+ Creating test plans and cutover strategies for seamless implementation.
+ Supporting field technicians with system integration and testing.
+ Designing logical workflows and informative block diagrams.
+ Providing implementation support for project execution.
+ Developing proposals and RFP responses to drive business growth.
+ Collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to maintain strong professional relationships.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:
We’re looking for motivated professionals who bring expertise and passion to the field. To excel in this role, you should have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical / computer engineering OR applicable work experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Minimum 2+ years of system engineering or related experience is preferred.
+ Strong technical electronics background with troubleshooting and failure analysis skills.
+ Solid understanding of engineering principles and RF fundamentals.
+ Knowledge of commercial, P25 two-way, and microwave radio systems.
+ Experience with IP networks, WAN/LAN technologies, and protocols (preferably in a communications service provider environment).
+ Expertise in IP routing and switching.
+ Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
