We are a 13 Bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care immediately postoperatively for patients that undergo general surgery, ortho-spine surgery, total joint and other orthopedic surgeries, urology procedures, vascular surgery, gynecologic surgery, podiatric surgery, endoscopy procedures, non-open-heart cardiac catheterization procedures, TEE and Cardioversion procedures, and interventional radiological procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse on this unit, some of the services you will provide are as follows:

+ Monitoring and care of the post anesthesia patient

+ Postoperative pain and nausea control

+ Surgical site monitoring

+ Compression therapy device removal post heart catheterization

+ Keeping families informed through the postoperative care process

What qualifications you will need:

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

+ Current TN RN Licensure or current compact state licensure

+ Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Masters Degree

+ 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience required.
