• Accounts Receivable Clerk

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Monterey Park, CA)


    Description We are looking for an exceptional Accounts Receivable Clerk to bolster our team in Monterey Park, California. Involved in the Import/Export industry, the role will oversee the accurate and timely handling of customer payments, along with the reconciliation of accounts receivable. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will also be instrumental in cash collections and billing, whilst utilizing skills in software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and AS400.

    Responsibilities

    • Take charge of the accurate and timely posting of customer payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

    • Oversee cash collections via phone and email, and ensure resolution of any outstanding invoices with clients.

    • Keep a close eye on the aging report and take proactive measures to address overdue accounts.

    • Ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted through the reconciliation of the accounts receivable ledger.

    • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to rectify any billing discrepancies.

    • Compile and analyze accounts receivable reports for management.

    • Aid in month-end closing and reporting related to receivables. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.

    • Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation.

    • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

    • Demonstrated skill in Billing and Cash Applications.

    • Experience in Cash Collections and Commercial Collections.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

    • Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and AS400 systems.

    • Familiarity with the Import/Export industry is a plus.

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
