A highly regarded healthcare organization headquartered in the heart of Chicago is seeking a strategic, people-centric HR Director to lead HR operations across a growing, multi-site business. This is an incredible opportunity to shape the future of a mission-driven, high-impact organization that is deeply committed to innovation, excellence, and community care.As the HR Director, you’ll be a key member of the senior leadership team—driving human capital strategy and building scalable, forward-thinking processes in areas like talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, benefits, and employee engagement. This role is perfect for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and wants to leave a lasting impact. Salary range: $145k - $160k + bonus. Hybrid, full benefits (medical, dental, vision and 401k)
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the design and execution of HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals and values
+ Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, succession, and organizational design
+ Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and inclusivity
+ Design and deploy leadership training, coaching, and development programs
+ Create strategies that enhance employee engagement and retention
+ Mentor and develop an HR team focused on service delivery and continuous improvement
+ Ensure HR policies remain compliant across all applicable state and federal regulations
+ Provide guidance and support around sensitive employee relations matters
+ Proactively mitigate risk through training, documentation, and best practices
+ Evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to support recruitment and retention goals
+ Conduct market research to ensure total rewards are competitive and cost-effective
+ Partner with finance and external brokers during annual renewals and audits
+ Lead performance review processes and goal-setting initiatives across departments
+ Support the organization through transitions, restructures, and strategic shifts
+ Develop tools and frameworks to support change management and growth
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; Master’s preferred
+ 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a healthcare or multi-location environment
+ 3+ years in a people leadership role
+ Proven success influencing executive leadership and leading strategic HR initiatives
+ Strong knowledge of employment laws and benefit design
+ Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and mission-driven organization
