    Description

    We are in search of a Tax Manager for our client's growing operations in Houston, Texas. This role involves working closely with an established client roster, preparing, reviewing, and analyzing tax, accounting, and consulting projects. The successful candidate will also play a vital role in leading a small team, offering training where needed and providing expert advice on technical issues as they arise.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review financial statements for quality control

    • Prepare and review complex income tax returns

    • Assist in planning and compliance regarding tax matters, including waivers and tax returns

    • Examine and oversee quarterly and annual payroll tax returns

    • Assist in the review and oversight of the preparation of quarterly tax projections and communication of required estimated tax payments

    • Assist in the review of the calculation and distribution of W-2s and 1099s

    • Aid in the compliance of financial and tax reporting policies and procedures

    • Communicate tax best business practices to accounting managers and staff accountants

    • Prepare and review tax correspondence and facilitate and oversee tax audits.

    Requirements

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

    • Experience in Public Accounting Tax

    • Knowledge in preparing Income Tax and Tax Returns

    • Experience in Estate Tax Return, Federal Tax Return, Franchise Tax Return

    • Proficiency in Income Tax Compliance, Partnership Tax, Partnership Tax Returns

    • Experience in Personal Property Tax, Payroll Tax Returns, Partnership Taxation.
