Description

Assistance Plus is seeking a Marketing Intern to assist in the day-to-day marketing initiatives for its growing agency. The intern will be responsible for providing general marketing data management, graphic design support, and assisting with executing internal and external events. Creativity, strong project management skills, and good attention to detail are needed to be successful in this role.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

+ Managing communications for small events

+ Assisting with the execution of events, both internal and external

+ Assisting HR with overall wellness initiatives as it relates to marketing

+ Distributing marketing materials

+ Assisting with maintaining the agency’s social media presence

+ Creating marketing collateral in the form of printed matter, advertising materials, and social media advertising

+ Generating leads and managing a contact database

+ Collecting information via internal and external surveys, reports, and questionnaires

+ Preparing data reports in a clear format to be used to measure marketing impact

+ Working with departments to build an understanding of their general marketing needs

+ Assisting the Marketing Coordinator with other general marketing tasks as needed

This internship is part-time (20 hours per week), located at our Benton Office. This will be a paid internship opportunity. Although some work will need to be completed in-office, this position does have the ability to work remotely as well.

Qualifications

Requirements:

+ A minimum of a high school diploma. Associate’s degree in the field of marketing/communications or English/Journalism preferred.

+ Previous marketing experience or training will be considered in lieu of formal education.

+ Must be 18 year of age or older

+ Must have a valid State of Maine driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage of $50K/$100K

+ Experienced use of Microsoft 365, Google Docs, Canva, and/or Adobe Cloud tools.

+ Graphic Design Sample required as part of your application.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
