• Systems Security Administrator

    Robert Half Technology (Chicago, IL)


    Description We are in search of a Systems Security Administrator to join our team based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you'll be accountable for securing our network infrastructure, managing client devices, and responding to security incidents. This position demands a self-sufficient individual who can understand our infrastructure comprehensively before specializing in security. The role involves a mix of remote and on-site work, with travel required to different locations within the Chicago area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement advanced security measures to safeguard our infrastructure

    • Manage the transition from Android to iPhone for standardization

    • Oversee Azure AD and hybrid environment management

    • Handle client devices using Intune

    • Transition to Unifi for wireless and camera systems, and phase out VCenter in favor of Hyper-V and open-source alternatives

    • Utilize security tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Barracuda

    • Develop logging and system management strategies

    • Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively

    • Travel to data center locations as required

    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our infrastructure before specializing in security

    • Demonstrate broad IT troubleshooting skills across different areas of the network and systems Requirements • Proven experience with Access Control methodologies and procedures

    • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies for network security

    • Comprehensive understanding of Firewall Technologies

    • Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)

    • Experience in managing Active Directory services

    • Strong skills in auditing and maintaining security logs

    • Knowledge of various Authentication protocols and procedures

    • Proficient in working with Computer Hardware related to security systems
