    We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business development background, a solid foundation in accounting and economics, and an in-depth understanding of the Sioux Falls market. This role is essential in expanding our commercial lending portfolio and enhancing client relationships.

     

    This is an in-office position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and relationship-building within the Sioux Falls market.

    + Assess the financial needs of clients and recommend appropriate lending solutions.

    + Review and analyze title report or survey to determine issues and any present or potential risk.

    + Negotiate contracts in a way that is mutually beneficial for FIBT and the customer.

    + Ensure customer understands conditions and terms of account.

    + Review delinquent account records to determine appropriate action.

    + Demonstrate a desire to successfully serve the customers- needs while creating value for the customer and FIBT.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to streamline the loan process and enhance customer satisfaction.

    + Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting commercial lending.

    + Maintain an active list of potential new customers as well as a pipeline of new business activity.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; 3+ years experience in commercial lending or related related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

    + Proven commercial business development experience with a track record of successfully originating new loans, deposit gathering, and relationship development is required.

    + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess financial statements and market conditions.

    + Familiarity with the Sioux Falls market and its economic landscape.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
