Surg Tech I, II, III, & IV: Assesses patient’s needs by determining planned procedure and physician preference. Plans for care of patient during introperative phase by being prepared for the surgical procedure. Responsible and accountable to have instruments, supplies, and equipment available for planned procedure. Surg Tech II: Must possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to solve problems and make decisions. Able to function during the intraoperative phase of care. Surg Tech II: Surgical Tech I; National Certification or acceptable On-the-Job Training equal to Two (2) years full-time experience.
