    Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods is seeking to hire an Inventory and Receiving Associate at our Fresh Kitchen located at 600-A Southlake Boulevard. The available shift is 6am - 2:30pm with some overtime and weekends required.

    Position Summary

    The Inventory Specialists are a key role at Ukrop's Homestyle Foods in ensuring the warehouse can run smoothly.  In this role associates are responsible for the shipping, receiving, organizing and the distribution of products throughout the plant.  Other functions may include but are not limited to using the forklift and pallet jack to remove and store products and assembling pallets while maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Maintaining positive communications with the 430 Logistics, Transportation Departments

    + Maintaining positive relationships with departments and delivery drivers

    + Maintain high sanitation standards and follow a daily cleaning schedule

    + Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or other equipment to load, unload, and store goods

    + Ensure raw materials (including packaging materials) are staged and available to the production area and meet food safety and quality standards

    + Meet departure time of transportation Facilitating products throughout the kitchen to appropriate departments

    + Restock production departments with packaging supplies

    + Apply internal lot codes to all incoming food and packaging cases

    + Assist in ensuring that the SQF system is in place and that we follow all aspects of HAACP plan, SSOPs, and FMPs throughout the plant

    + Perform physical activities that require considerable lifting, bending, and handling of materials

    + Report all food safety issues to an immediate supervisor

    Education and Experience:

    + High School Diploma or GED required

    + Forklift/pallet jack experience is REQUIRED

    + Knowledge of safe storing and handling procedure of various foods and chemicals

    + Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and teammates and follow safety and chemical guidelines

    + Ability to work flexible schedules as needed for production and/or holidays
