Audit Clerk

CSEA is looking for an Audit Clerk for their Finance Department. Starting Salary is $39,200.

JOB SUMMARY:Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Finance, the Audit Clerk performs clerical tasks to support Finance Department operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Accounts Payable:a. Maintains the Accounts Payable Vendor databaseb. Maintains the Accounts Payable document databasec. Creates the Accounts Payable checksd. Updates invoices/vouchers for payment informatione. Mails checksf. Files and maintains the paid invoice/voucher file and cancelled check file2. Accounts Receivable:a. Enters checks received from payroll agencies in CSEA’s cash receipts programb. Enters checks from other sources into CSEA’s cash receipts programc. Prepares the daily deposit for both CSEA and CSEA’s insurance agentd. Maintains the running cash balance spreadsheet for all CSEA checkingaccountse. Creates billing for CSEA members/customersf. Monitors uncollected accounts and returned checks3. General:a. Opens the Finance Department mailb. Assists with the internal & external auditorsc. Performs other related duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- High School diploma or equivalency with a concentration in business courses.- Familiarity with standard alphanumeric keyboards.- Successful completion of a test to be administered by Human Resources.
