    The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor \(NGI\) team is seeking experienced **Systems Engineers** to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity\.

     

    As a member of the NGI team, you will perform tasks related to the development of the overall system\.

     

    You should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, allocation, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test\.

     

    In addition, you will support major program reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR\. Participate in Specification and Interface Control Document development, as well as support the process to include development of Test Plans\.

     

    You may also support missile system analyses in support of mission planning and execution as well as tests at various test ranges\.

     

    Some travel may be required\.

     

    As an NGI Systems Engineer you will be involved in all phases of the project development \(e\.g\., architecture development, CONOPS, definition, qualification, integration assembly, and test\)\. You will work in a team environment and collaborate with multiple disciplines, program management, and customers to help drive to a complete solution\!

     

    A successful candidate will typically possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5\-9 years of related professional work experience

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience and full knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:

     

    1\. Systems Engineering approach and processes

     

    2\. Requirement definition, decomposition, and allocation

     

    3\. Interface definition \(ICD, IBDs, IDDs\)

     

    4\. Missile system analyses used in requirement derivation and verification

     

    5\. Planning and coordinating Hardware and/or software testing for verification

     

    6\. Performing System Integration

     

    7\. Support to major reviews

     

    8\. Writing Specifications

     

    9\. DOORS

     

    • Active or Current DoD Secret Security clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college

    • Customer interface experience

    • Experience with one or more of the following:

     

    1\. Presenting at major reviews

     

    2\. Missile system experience

     

    3\. MatLab, and/or other or analysis tools

     

    4\. Hardware/Software Development

     

    5\. Missile or Weapon System Development

     

    6\. Performance, Functional, or Software

     

    7\. CONOPS or Architecture Development

     

    8\. Support to System Level trade studies

     

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
