    We have an outstanding Contract position for aSenior Materials Handlerto join a leading Company located in theLaurel, MDsurrounding area.

     

    US Citizenship is required.

     

    Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

     

    Pay Range : $20

     

    To support the relocation of staff and laboratory equipment, arrange conference rooms, and pick up and deliver furniture and equipment throughout the Laboratory.

    Responsibilities :

    + Supports the relocation of Laboratory personnel and equipment using dollies, hand trucks, desk jacks, vans, forklifts, and high cube truck vehicles

    + Moves office furniture, laboratory equipment, safes, and packages of all types

    + Operates Laboratory vehicles and equipment such as vans, box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, manual and power tools

    + Inspects and maintains equipment and vehicles to be in good safe operating condition

    + Assists in other areas of the FMT group as necessary

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum 2 years of commercial move and/or hands-on material handling experience

    + Minimum 1 year of forklift experience and ability to obtain a forklift certification

    + Possess a valid driver's license with no points

    + The selected candidate will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Review

    + Ability to obtain or possess a valid DOT medical card

    + Safety shoes required

    Desired Qualifications :

    + Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    + Ability to lift up to 70lbs and walk extensively

    + Ability to work independently and within a team environment

    + Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

    + Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment based on customers' needs

    + Maintain good attendance and punctuality

    + Experience using both hand tools and power tools (especially cordless drills)

    + Experience handling Hazardous Materials
