Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aProduction Managerto join the OCL - Architectural Lightingin St. Louis, MO.

Role:Manages operations of production areas from shop floor to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved.

+ 4-day work week (Monday – Thursday)

+ Climate Controlled Facility

Main Job Duties:

+ Champion for safety

+ Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals.

+ Monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements, deveolpement of SOP’s.

+ Collaborating with department to ensure qaulity, efficient production

+ Coordinates general department projects and implements solutions from process analysis.

+ Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.

+ Works with engineering on related manufacturing processes, quality issues and new product implementations.

+ Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed.

+ Ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations.

+ Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems.

+ Analyzes and documents business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies and improve processes.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

+ 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing supervisory/management role

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

+ Ability to understand and analyze complex technical problems

+ Solid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality and outside of the box thinker.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot mid-stream.

+ Strong personal leadership and communications abilities

+ Excellent knowledge of fundamental manufacturing principles and processes.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Considerable tact, discretion and integrity to effectively interface with personnel at all levels internally and externally, including the ability to handle information of a highly confidential and/or sensitive nature
