Join Our Team as an Area Pharmacy Manager!
**Location** : Muskegon, Michigan
**Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital** is seeking a dynamic and experienced **Area Pharmacy Manager** to oversee and manage the **Clinical Pharmacist** and **Clinical Pharmacy Service** programs across 3 locations. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the strategic direction and operations of our pharmacy services while ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Position Overview:
As the Area Pharmacy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing clinical operations of pharmacy services. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing clinical pharmacy programs, leading a talented team of pharmacy professionals, and ensuring quality and compliance in all aspects of pharmaceutical care. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and cost-effective use of resources across multiple healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Clinical Leadership** : Direct oversight of the Clinical Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacy Service programs, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and the effectiveness of clinical pharmacy initiatives.
+ **Quality & Compliance** : Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, continuously monitor quality improvement activities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
+ **Strategic Planning** : Collaborate with the Regional Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services to enhance pharmacist competencies, improve drug utilization, and promote cost-effective pharmaceutical practices.
+ **Team Development** : Provide training, coaching, and professional development for Clinical Coordinator and Pharmacists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
+ **Financial Stewardship** : Manage pharmacy budgets, vendor contracts, and resources to maintain financial efficiency while improving patient care.
Qualifications:
+ **Education** : Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, MBA) preferred.
+ **Experience** : Minimum of 5 years as a licensed pharmacist, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role or completion of a PGY2-Administrative residency program.
+ **Licensure** : Current state pharmacist licensure required; must obtain licensure in practice within 120 days of hire.
+ **Skills** : Proven leadership ability, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and quality care.
+ **Specialized Knowledge** : Familiarity with clinical pharmacy services, medication safety, and financial management in a healthcare setting.
