General Statement

Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Gallatin College Montana State University seeks part-time ( NTT ) instructors to teach one or more of the following courses

+ GibbsCAM

+ Machine Shop

+ CNC Turning

+ CNC Milling

+ Tooling for CNC

+ CNC Lathe Operation

+ CNC Milling Programmer

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

+ Demonstrated industry experience as a CNC Lathe Operation and/or Programming experience, including familiarity with Haas Controls.

+ Demonstrated experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues within and outside the department

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

+ Three to five years industry experience with CNC Lathe Operation and Programming, with expertise on Haas Controls.

+ Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity

The Program

Students completing the Certificate of Applied Science—CNC Machine Technology will acquire the skills necessary for entry-level jobs in CNC machining. Students will work to attain National Institute for Metalworking Skills credentials ( NIMS ), complete Haas V-F Series Milling Machine and GUI control setup, and gain knowledge and operations of Mastercam, Gibbs, and G-code.
