Job Summary:
RPO is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented optics inspector to join our team! This individual will perform Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspection, Final and other Inspections of optical and opto-mechanical/electronic lenses and assemblies. The individual will be expected to train and assist others in sound inspection methods as necessary. You Will:
+ Be responsible for complete inspection of optical components/assemblies (incoming, in-process and finished) to customer, RPO and other drawings, standards (such as MIL-13830), specifications and quality plans.
+ Perform Special Inspections: Responsible for complete and sample inspection of optical components/assemblies customer, RPO and other drawings, standards (such as MIL-13830), specifications and quality / qualification / engineering plans as related to First Article Inspections and Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer prototypes, qualifications, tests and experiments.
+ Be responsible for participation in product and process audits to evaluate their compliance to all applicable specifications, standards, instructions and policies.
+ Be responsible for participation in various engineering, quality, manufacturing and customer reviews and experiments in order to provide input, expertise and inspection services as needed.
+ Be responsible for training in a clear, concise and effective manner other personnel on the use of all inspection and test equipment including follow-up to ensure personnel understand and can effectively apply the provided training.
+ Be expected to clearly and concisely report accurate and meaningful results to appropriate team members and to complete logs, reports and other data entry and analysis as dictated by procedures, policies, instructions and as indicated by management personnel.
+ Provide input to quality planning activities and input to continuously improve our products and processes.
You Have:
+ High School diploma. AAS or AS preferred.
+ 3 years of experience in optics inspection or equivalent combination of education/experience is required.
+ Experience in mechanical manufacturing a plus.
+ Exceptional attention to detail;

Environment & Physical Demands:
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand: use hands to fingers, handle or feel: and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch: and talk and hear.
+ The job may involve prolong periods of sitting/standing.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain)
+ Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
+ The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
+ Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided)
+ Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such.
+ This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
+ The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne paper particles.
