RESPONSIBILITIES: · Supports strategic direction and leadership for the M.S. Forensic Medicineprogram. · Teaches and advises students in the M.S. Forensic Medicine program and monitors their programs of study andprogression. · Develop short- and long-range planning objectives for the academicdegree program. · Coordinatesadministrativeprocessesinvolvedinsupportingtheprogram,includingrecruitment,selection, admission, registration, orientation, and progression ofstudents. · Assists the Medical Director and faculty members, professors/medical examiners, designing curriculum and schedulingclasses. · Collaborates with the School of Graduate Studies instructional designers in the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning(FCTL). · Supervises Graduate TeachingAssistants. · Assists the Medical Director in supporting students' need, communicating with studentsdaily. · Develop strategies for student recruitment, review credentials, counsel students concerning program requirements. · Undertakes monitoring and assessment of students' course work, project work and examinations, and maintains up-to-date and accurate records of their progress and achievement; participate on established School of Graduate Studiescommittees. · Serves as a liaison with appropriate committees to evaluate relevance of curriculum content and to communicate and evaluate teachingobjectives. · Liaison with faculty to ensure communication of their responsibility for providing administrative support to the program by administering student evaluations, completing, and submitting grades, rosters,etc. · Addresses the needs of a highly diverse student population in age, ethnicity, and culturalbackground. · Ensures high quality academic support forstudents. · Designs capstone research projects with the Medical Director and assisting students with their assigned researchprojects. · Engages in scholarly activity in areas of interest.
