    Summary

    The Technical Intern will solve real-world challenges while working with leaders on meaningful projects that directly relate to key KCNSC business goals.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Support the implementation of IT initiatives and technical improvement efforts. Partner on IT efforts and projects including coordinating activities, personnel and budget

    + Follow defined IT project management processes, standards, and procedures. Provides process feedback supporting potential improvement opportunities

    + Support IT initiatives (efforts / projects) through the conceptual, requirements gathering, design, development and implementation phases

    + Assist in security administration, data analytics and event monitoring

    + Design, implement and test state-of-the-art secure security systems, networks, and database solutions

    + Provide technical support, execute requests and answer general how to questions in a high security environment

     

    You Must Have

     

    + Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Cyber Security or MIS

    + Must graduate after December 2025

    + Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship for 1+ more years

    + Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business

    + Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

    + United States Citizenship

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
